Structural steel

Structural steel requires fire protection because it loses structural strength at temperatures that can be quickly reached in a building fire. This will consequently negatively impacts on the structural integrity of the building.

Protecting the structural steel from the heat of a fire will delay the onset of this loss of strength and the possible collapse of the building. This is essential because it allows extra time for both the occupants of the building to escape and fire services to tackle the fire.

Duct insulation

Passive structural fire protection is one of the most important factors in HVAC. Highly efficient insulation together with appropriate fire containment is necessary in order to prevent the spread of flames and smoke to other areas of the building.

Properly insulating ventilation ducts is key to containing fires in partitioning areas.  These ducts often pass through building compartments which is breached, can allow rapid spread of fire inside the building. Efficient ventilation insulation reduces the need for mechanical methods of fire protection such as sprinklers.

Tanks and industrial piping insulation

Cost-effective system for insulating industrial tanks and industrial pipes: Our excellent Remak ® Rockwool RIT insulation helps to reduce heat loss, energy costs and CO2 emissions into the environment. The solution is commonly used in fire prevention and soundproofing applications.

Remak® Rockwool RIT can be used for insulation applications for ships, tanks, pipes, chimneys, shafts, boilers, furnaces, heat storage tanks. And besides, it also has an excellent ability of sound absorption and sound insulation..
